Railways has decided to increase the fares of mail, express and AC trains. The fare hike will be implemented by 1 to 2 paise per kilometer from December 26. The decision has been taken to balance the increase in the number of trains, expansion of railway routes and expenditure on employees in the last 10 years, the Railways said.
