Commuters jostled to board the already full AC coach, often disrupting services, as their regular trains were either late or cancelled. This frequent occurrence during peak hours on the Central Railway highlights the serious issue of passenger limit breaches, which directly compromises safety and leads to further delays in the already congested local train network. ठाणे रेल्वे स्टेशनवर प्रमाणापेक्षा जास्त गर्दीमुळे एसी लोकलच्या स्वयंचलित दरवाजात अडथळा येऊन ती रखडली. साध्या लोकल उशिराने धावत असल्याने प्रवासी मिळेल त्या एसी लोकलमध्ये चढण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात. यामुळे दरवाजात गर्दी होते व लोकल पुढे सरकत नाही. मध्य रेल्वेच्या गर्दीच्या वेळी (Peak Hour) ही वारंवार होणारी घटना प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षिततेचा गंभीर प्रश्न निर्माण करत असून, त्यामुळे वेळापत्रकही विस्कळीत होत आहे.
