The controversy surrounding 'Gadkari Rangayatan' is not about 'Rajsanyas' (as previously mentioned), but about the attempt by Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) to disrupt or stop the staging of 'Sangeet Sanyast Khadga' (The Sannyasi's Sword), a play written by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The VBA strongly opposed the play, alleging that some dialogues contain derogatory and misleading statements about Lord Gautam Buddha and the philosophy of non-violence.
