The Supreme Court has mandated the completion of the local body poll process by January 31, 2026, and political sources suggest that the 29 municipal corporations will likely go to polls in January 2026. राज्यातील २९ महानगरपालिका निवडणुकांचे बिगुल अद्याप वाजायचे आहे. राज्य निवडणूक आयोगाने (SEC) डिसेंबर २ रोजी नगर परिषद आणि नगर पंचायतींच्या निवडणुका जाहीर केल्या आहेत. सुप्रीम कोर्टाच्या आदेशानुसार जानेवारी २०२६ पर्यंत निवडणुका पूर्ण करणे आवश्यक असल्याने, मुंबई (BMC) आणि पुणेसह इतर सर्व मनपा निवडणुका पुढील टप्प्यात, म्हणजेच जानेवारी २०२६ मध्ये होण्याची शक्यता आहे.
