Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai has emerged as the third cleanest city in India. स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण २०२४-२०२५ च्या अहवालात मुंबईला धक्का बसला आहे. १० लाखाहून अधिक लोकसंख्या असलेल्या शहरांमध्ये मुंबईला ३३ वा क्रमांक मिळाला असून, ती देशातील सर्वात १० अस्वच्छ शहरांमध्ये आहे. मुंबईतील अस्वच्छतेची समस्या वाढली आहे, तर नवी मुंबईने देशात तिसरा क्रमांक मिळवून महाराष्ट्राचे नाव राखले आहे.
