The failure has led to the blocking of cane transport in several parts of the district. कोल्हापूर जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालयात ऊस दराच्या प्रश्नावर साखर कारखानदार आणि शेतकरी संघटनांमध्ये कोणताही तोडगा निघाला नाही. यामुळे आंदोलन चिघळण्याची शक्यता असून, शेतकऱ्यांनी प्रती टन ₹३,७५१ च्या मागणीसाठी ऊस वाहतूक रोखली आहे. अनेक ठिकाणी संघर्षामुळे तणावाचे वातावरण आहे.
